Country Golf Club is the proud host of the 72 hole
Keperra Bowl - the only Australian national amateur
selection trial held each year in Queensland.
The bowl -
also the only 72 hole golf event held annually in the
Brisbane metropolitan area - enjoys accreditation from
the R & A in Scotland, attracts
national/international participants, is presently ranked
in the top 50 amateur golf events in the world with the
winner receiving direct entry into final qualifying for
the Australian Open.
The
club, located less than 10 kilometres from the Brisbane
CBD, proudly boasts a pristine 27 hole championship
golf facility acknowledged as the prettiest natural golf course in
Queensland and is
available for play each day by its 1300 members as well
as local, national and international visitors.
These
challenging 27 holes are played as a combination of
three courses - the Old
Course
measuring
6082 metres, the North Course measuring 6012 metres and
the West Course measuring 5689 metres,
Since
inception in 1931, the club has developed into one of
the most prestigious golf clubs in the Brisbane metropolitan
area and players bask in the knowledge that they get to
walk in the spike marks of golf legends like Nicklaus,
Player, Peter Senior and John Senden.
