2010
Keperra Junior Winter
Classic
In Conjunction with
the regular Sunday Junior Competitions, a major
trophy will be presented to the junior who has
performed the best in competitions from Sunday,
July 18th to Sunday the 19th September.
It will
be based upon a points systems by which the top 3
place getters and ties from each weekly
competition will be allocated points. To be
eligible to win the trophy, each junior must play
a minimum of 6 junior competitions as the best 6
rounds out of the 9 competitions will be
counted.
All juniors are encouraged to
participate as a impressive trophy valued at
$400.00 is on offer to the winner of which the
Keperra Country Golf Club President (Mr. Matthew
Dowling) will be presenting on Sunday the 19th of
September in the
clubhouse.

JUNIOR
MEMBERSHIP
Presently no nomination fee is
payable for a junior to join Keperra Country Golf
Club. The membership fee is currently $188
per annum from September 2009 with pro rata
adjustments after that date.
Keperra Country Golf
Club is proud to work with head and AAA rated
teaching Professional Chris Chaplin to provide a
strong junior program. The ethos of the program
revolves around Participation, Progression and
Passion and clinics are structured in this
way.
The beginner clinics works on
encouraging participation
in the sport by ensuring all activities remain
practical and fun. These clinics are the perfect
introduction to the sport and suits those with
very little or no experience at all.
From here juniors are given the
opportunity to develop their skills in a safe fun
environment and when ready progress to the
intermediate and more advanced clinics where
juniors will experience a mixture of clinics and
on-course play.
Once participants are ready to gain
an official handicap the program runs a weekly
competition. It is during these competitions
junior golfers develop the passion
for the game by competing against fellow
juniors and also their own handicap.
For those who are striving to the
elite level, the program supports juniors by
assisting with tournament entries, travel, elite
level coaching and the formation of representative
squads.

Clinic Information:
The 3 day
clinic will focus on course management, mental
attitude, constructive practice habits, goal
setting, fitness, strength and conditioning as
well as rules/ettiquette of golf.
This
clinic is a must for all intermediate and advanced
juniors to attend. It will clearly outline what is
necessary to take your game to the next
level.

Taylor Made Adidas
Golf “Improver of the Term”
This award will be given to a junior
in each clinic who shows marked improvement in
their behavior, temperament and golf skills for
the month.
Each winner will receive an Adidas
Junior Golf pack courtesy of Taylor Made Adidas
Golf.
"Titleist Monthly Medal"
Single Stroke
Event
Each month there
will be a Single stroke event that has a point
system for an overall winner at the end of the
season for a brand new "Titleist" golf bag. It is
based on best Nett for the day with the day's
winner recieving a titleist monthly medal
winner cap. The Winner will recieve 25 points,
second will get 18 points, 3rd 15
points, 4th 10 points, 5th place 8 points and all
other place getters will recieve 5 points. An
up to date leader board will be on display on
the junior wall at the front of the golf
shop.
"Yes Putters" Monthly
Putting Competition
Each month the "Yes
Putting" competition will be held in conjunction
with the monthly medal. Winners of this monthly
award will compete for a brand new "Yes
putters" golf bag. There will be a 9 hole
putting competition with scores taken down and a
winner will be awarded. The same point system will
be used for the overall prize at the end of the
season for the "yes" golf bag.
Titleist Rundown
Balls
Leading Golf Manufacturer Titleist along
with Cobra have kindly donated runner-up and
rundown prizes for the program. We thank them for
their continued support of Junior Golf at Keperra.
