The Club’s Juniors had a special experience yesterday afternoon. They enjoyed watching Australian Golfing Touring Professional Adam Scott put on a clinic at Royal Queensland ahead of this week’s Australian PGA Championship. This is the 2nd time in as many years our Juniors were invited to watch and learn from Adam after the Club won Junior Development Program of the year in QLD.

Lots of smiles with a few “oooohs and aaaaahs” as Adam piped a few drives and showed off his short game.

Special thanks to Club Teaching Professional and Junior Coordinator Chris McCourt, and Associates Jack Jones and Jordan Rooke for assisting throughout the clinic.

At the halfway mark of the PGA Associate National Championship being held on the West Course of Cobram Barooga (Vic), it’s Keperra’s own PGA Associate Jordan Rooke who holds a 2 shot lead against the chasing field, currently at -8. Jordan is competing against 91 other PGA Associates from across the Country for the Title. Congratulations Jordan and good luck for rounds 3 & 4.

Congratulations to Club member Dylan Price for winning the Special Olympics’ John Griffiths Memorial Trophy awarded to the Queensland Golfer of the Year at the recently held National Tournament at Palm Meadows GC.

Furthermore, Dylan finished the Tournament in Third position in the 18 hole / division 5 category (having missed out on Silver by a countback).

Congratulations Dylan on yet another fine achievement in your golfing career.

The Club is thrilled to announce that at last night’s QLD Golf Industry awards evening, Keperra’s Junior Development Program won Program of the year for the second year in a row. An achievement rarely seen in the industry and testament to the calibre of our KCGC staff owning the vision and possessing the passion.
