Course News<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The renovations in late January were highly successful with the greens recovering quickly and mowing heights reduced to 3mm (from 3.5mm) with the exception of Green 7, 8 & 17.\u00a0 The grooming and dusting program which has been in place for the past 9 months will continue through Autumn whilst turf growth is still evident.\u00a0 The good plant health of the putting green surfaces has also allowed Course staff to introduce a weekly rolling program that started mid-February.\u00a0 This practice should further enhance the pace and trueness of the putting surfaces.<\/p>\n

The 2022 flood damaged areas (fairways 10 and 18) have been resurfaced last month and again we are encouraged by the growth evident.\u00a0 Several bare patches on tee blocks throughout the course have also been repaired.<\/p>\n

As we move into Autumn, the focus will move predominately to general maintenance and preparing the course for Winter. In addition to this, activities to support the grow in of the practice fairway\/short course will continue.<\/p>\n

A 40m safety net will soon be installed at the back of the practice fairway adjacent to the carpark before the short course is open.<\/p>\n

Bunkers<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

The Club’s green keeping staff rake and repair bunkers at least three times per week.\u00a0 As members know there can be a significant difference in the condition of the bunkers immediately after and a few days after this maintenance has occurred.\u00a0 This does not need to be the case if we all follow the following steps:<\/p>\n
