As part of our annual insurance renewal, the clubs’ insurers have advised that cover provided under its Member Golf Suite policy will be withdrawn effective 06 December 2023.<\/p>\n
This policy has historically provided basic cover for member golf equipment (including motorised golf carts) and personal accident events.\u00a0 This policy extended to member golf equipment stored onsite in locker rooms and motorised golf carts stored in the designated sheds.<\/p>\n
The withdrawal of this cover is an industry-wide decision and is not limited to Keperra.\u00a0 \u00a0The limited notice period is not ideal, but the club has been actively exploring alternate cover options, which have proven unsuccessful.\u00a0 Consultation with Golf Australia and various industry bodies will continue in an effort to address this unsatisfactory industry situation.<\/p>\n
Members are encouraged to consult with their Insurance Broker or Provider with respect to their personal insurance requirements, including for storage of golf equipment and buggies at Keperra. \u00a0The Club will continue to offer this storage but at member’s risk.<\/p>\n
The club also wishes to reinforce its long-held policy of not allowing the recharging or storage of lithium battery units for “walk behind golf buggies” on club premises under any circumstances.<\/p>\n
