{"id":14428,"date":"2024-05-27T14:24:01","date_gmt":"2024-05-27T04:24:01","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/?p=14428"},"modified":"2024-05-27T15:37:42","modified_gmt":"2024-05-27T05:37:42","slug":"gents-matchplay-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/2024\/05\/gents-matchplay-2\/","title":{"rendered":"Gents Matchplay"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Saturday saw the culmination of this years Gents A,B &amp; C Grade Matchplay.<\/p>\n<p><strong>A Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The A Grade Final was contested between number 4 seed Jarrod Mann and 10<sup>th<\/sup> seed Luke Brumpton. Luke had an impressive run to the final defeating 2 previous Club Champions. Jarrod performed consistently throughout the event, despite a getting pushed to extra holes in his semifinal. In the end however, it would be Jarrod prevailing, going on to record a 4 &amp; 3 victory.<\/p>\n<p><strong>B Grade\u00a0<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Will Carty and Paul Argent would contest the B Grade Final with both players narrowly surviving their semifinal encounters, Will winning 1up whilst Paul required 20 holes to finally get past his opponent. The Final however, wouldn&#8217;t require an additional holes with Will going on to record a 2 &amp; 1 victory over Paul.<\/p>\n<p><strong>C Grade<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The form from the Club Championships obviously continued for our C Grade contestants, with 1 seed, Trent Bucholz going up against the 2 seed, in Mark Harrington. Both players were taken to the 19<sup>th<\/sup>\u00a0in their semifinal matches and this theme would continue in the final with 20 holes being required to determine the winner.
