Key areas reviewed include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Modernising governance structures to reflect contemporary best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing the structure of annual subscription increases, including the suitability of CPI as the preferred index for adjustments.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing the subscription calculation for 5-day and 6-day membership categories.<\/li>\n<li>Extending voting rights to enhance inclusivity and representation among members.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing opportunities for members to actively participate in the governance of the Club.<\/li>\n<li>Improving and ensuring gender representation on future Boards to better reflect the diversity of our golfing community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The review was conducted with the support of Golf Australia\u00a0and the CPR Group, which\u00a0have successfully assisted several Queensland Golf Clubs with similar constitutional reviews and governance improvements. Their expertise has guided the process to ensure the best outcomes for our Club and its members.<\/p>\n<p>To ensure transparency and allow members to ask questions and share their views, we will hold\u00a0<strong>information sessions<\/strong>\u00a0in the coming months. A draft of the proposed changes will be presented for feedback before being formally submitted for approval at a\u00a0<strong>Special General Meeting later this year.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>We encourage all members to stay informed and engaged in this important process.
