The inaugural March Mingle was successfully held on 29 March.\u00a0 Apparently no one counted, but about 40 people attended, which was amazing as the club was closed on the day due to one of the many bouts of bad weather we have had during the last couple of months.\u00a0 Looking forward to the next one.\u00a0 Watch this space.<\/em><\/p>\n

Ladies Pennants<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

Weekday – The first match-up of the season vs Gailes at Oxley on an extraordinarily wet day was narrowly won by Keperra. 3 wins, 2 draws and 2 losses.\u00a0 Next match is 2 May.<\/em><\/p>\n

Weekend – After three rounds, Keperra is in 4th<\/sup> place, with one win, one tie and one loss.<\/em><\/p>\n

Championships <\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n

I’m glad I haven’t been involved in the multiple necessary re-scheduling of the Club Championships.\u00a0 The final 2 rounds were finally played on the weekend of 26 and 27 April, with the course still being challengingly wet.<\/em><\/p>\n

Congratulations go to Julie Lakotij and Savannah Rains, the Gross and Nett winners respectively.<\/em><\/p>\n

Congratulations to Wes Hinton for his 3rd<\/sup> consecutive men’s championship.<\/em><\/p>\n

The 2nd<\/sup> and final round of the Ladies mid-week championships are scheduled for 6 May.\u00a0 Please let there be fine weather for these!<\/em><\/p>\n
