{"id":15638,"date":"2025-05-19T13:00:47","date_gmt":"2025-05-19T03:00:47","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/?p=15638"},"modified":"2025-05-20T14:39:33","modified_gmt":"2025-05-20T04:39:33","slug":"constitution-review-member-consultation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/2025\/05\/constitution-review-member-consultation\/","title":{"rendered":"Constitution Review &#8211; Member Consultation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>As part of our commitment to strong governance and the long-term success of Keperra Country Golf Club, we have undertaken a comprehensive review to modernise the Club\u2019s Constitution.<\/p>\n<p>The review aims to ensure the Constitution remains relevant, inclusive, and aligned with best practices while supporting the Club\u2019s future growth. Key areas reviewed include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Modernising governance structures to reflect contemporary best practices.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing the structure of annual subscription increases, including the suitability of CPI as the preferred index for adjustments.<\/li>\n<li>Reviewing the subscription calculation for 5-day and 6-day membership categories.<\/li>\n<li>Extending voting rights to enhance inclusivity and representation among members.<\/li>\n<li>Increasing opportunities for members to actively participate in the governance of the Club.<\/li>\n<li>Improving and ensuring gender representation on future Boards to better reflect the diversity of our golfing community.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The review was conducted with the support of Golf Australia\u00a0and the CPR Group, which\u00a0have successfully assisted several Queensland Golf Clubs with similar constitutional reviews and governance improvements. Their expertise has guided the process to ensure the best outcomes for our Club and its members.<\/p>\n<p>Please read the attached Covering Note prepared by the CPR Group outlining changes which exist between the current and proposed constitutions &#8211; <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/05\/Keperra-Country-Golf-Club-Covering-Note-to-Constitution.pdf\">Click here<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p><strong>Member Feedback<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The board is interested in receiving feedback from the membership and have established a dedicated email address for this purpose.<\/p>\n<p><strong> Email:- <a href=\"mailto:constitution@keperragolf.com.au\">constitution@keperragolf.com.au<\/a><\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Following the member consultation period May 19 &#8211; June 13 the board will review and consider all feedback.
