{"id":9283,"date":"2021-05-27T06:20:37","date_gmt":"2021-05-27T06:20:37","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/?p=9283"},"modified":"2023-06-20T16:41:27","modified_gmt":"2023-06-20T06:41:27","slug":"course-update-28th-may","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.keperragolf.com.au\/cms\/2021\/05\/course-update-28th-may\/","title":{"rendered":"Course Update 28th May"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>This week the team have again focused on general course maintenance, with some additional work completed on the two main projects, being the 22<sup>nd<\/sup> hole and the maintenance shed upgrade. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>22<sup>nd<\/sup> hole:<\/p>\n<p>Over the past week there has been some additional tree lopping, concreting and the irrigation work has been completed. The irrigation upgrade will see double row irrigation installed, vastly increasing the area which will receive the necessary water to support the fairway changes. In the next two weeks we have 500+ tons of top-dressing sand scheduled for delivery; this will provide a suitable growing medium for the turf sprigs which will be planted in early June. \u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Shed:<\/p>\n<p>Monday was the final day in the old shed, with all remaining equipment being moved to the temporary compound at the rear of the Clubhouse. For Joel Ross, Brad Senior and myself who have spent decades working from that shed it was a nostalgic day.\u00a0 Having said that, its demolition and the construction of the new facility will be the start of a new chapter for the Course Maintenance Team. \u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>Greens:<\/p>\n<p>The Poa (oversow) is starting to mature and will continue to improve the putting surfaces over the coming weeks, with the base 328 grass recovering well.\u00a0 Further remedial work will occur on selected greens where larger bare patches remain.\u00a0 This task will involve plugs from the on-site turf nursery being inserted.
