Course Update -1st April

The Course and Maintenance Team were again busy preparing & reinstating the course following the recent floods. Progress this week has been hampered with some significant rainfall, with today (Friday 1st April) being the first time this week that full fairway and rough mowing has been possible. While the team is working extra hours today not all areas of the course will be fully mown.

The course has dried out to a point that carts should be able to return to full access over the weekend, with local rules remaining unchanged from the previous two weekends. Over the coming week the course will be reassessed, with a view to reducing the tee-up options, moving one step closer to recommencing handicapped rounds albeit requiring Golf Australia approval to temporarily have rounds handicapped over 17-holes.

The event tomorrow, Saturday 2nd April, is the Bank of Queensland -The Gap Medal which will be played as a Single Stableford, with a winner coming from each course rather than a graded event, due to only 17 holes being available on the Old & West Courses. The ladies will also play a Single Stableford.

A reminder to Members that the times sheets are open for the Gents Matchplay Championships A, B&C Grades, entries closing 11th April and the Ladies Club Championships (weekend), entries also closing 11th April
