Ladies Pathway

The Women’s Pathway Clinics are developed in conjunction with Golf Clubs and Golf Australia to
help ladies experience the game of golf in a welcoming, relaxed, and non-threatening environment.

The aim of the Women’s Pathway Clinic is to enable Keperra Country Golf Club to:

  • Introduce, increase, and retain ladies at Keperra Country Golf Club through clinic
    participation.
  • Provide a culture and experience that is welcoming, motivating, inclusive and supportive of
    every player.
  • Implement new strategies to encourage continued participation and retention of golfers
    within the club landscape.
  • Provide a clear pathway for female participation and membership.

The Women’s Pathway Clinics provide a clear path for the complete beginner through to the
individuals who have played a little or previously participated in clinic and/or private lessons.

Keperra Country Golf Club have created a 4 level “ladies, Lets Golf Program” designed to make the transition from practice fairway to golf course a less intimidating experience.

It is estimated that it will take a full term (5weeks) for lady golfers to advance to the next level. A Golf skills assessment will be held on the 5th week so that it will be possible for the lady golfer to progress. We understand the certain ladies my progress in their learning more quickly than other participants in each program. Private tuition is also available to each lady to assist in advancing to the next level.

At the completion of each level a presentation will be held for those ladies who have completed their level

Level 1

This level provides the perfect introduction to golf for Ladies with little or no golf experience. The key to these lessons is for the lady to learn the basics of golf and to have fun doing it.

Ladies will learn:

  • Grip, stance, posture (Basic fundamentals),
  • Putting and chipping (Basic fundamentals)
  • Full Swing (Basic fundamentals)
  • Equipment knowledge and understanding of their various uses
  • Fun Games and Activities

 

Level 1 clinics are generally conducted on Friday and Saturday mornings. All equipment is supplied complimentary for those ladies who may require it.

Requirements to reach level 2:

  • Adequate understanding of the Grip, Stance, and Posture
  • Recognise equipment number being used
  • Score 27 or better over 9 holes putting.
  • The ability to chip 1 out of 5 chip shots on the green and finish within the designated area.

Level 2

This level 2 program is where the lady golfer will begin to build the foundations of their full swing, wedge play and golf IQ.

Ladies will learn:

  • Grip, stance, posture (Intermediate level fundamentals),
  • Putting and chipping (Intermediate level fundamentals)
  • Pitching (Intermediate level fundamentals)
  • Full Swing (Intermediate level fundamentals)
  • Equipment knowledge
  • Fun Games and Activities
  • Golf etiquette and safety on the short course
  • Golf Terminology and basic Golf rules.

Requirements to reach level 3:

  • Competent understanding of the Grip, Stance, and Posture
  • Recognise equipment number being used
  • Score 22 or better over 9 holes putting.
  • The ability to chip 2 out of 5 chip shots on the green and finish within the designated area.
  • Ability to hit 4 out of 8 Full swing shots onto the designated fairway.
  • Ability to hit 3 out of 8 wedge shots onto the green.

Level 3

The level 3 program is where the Lady golfer will advance their knowledge and golfing ability. Ladies will advance to play the short course.

Ladies will learn:

  • Grip, stance, posture (Advanced level fundamentals),
  • Putting and chipping (Advanced level fundamentals)
  • Pitching (Advanced level fundamentals)
  • Bunker Play Technique
  • Full Swing (Advanced level fundamentals)
  • Play Short Course
  • Golf etiquette and safety on the short course
  • Golf Terminology and basic Golf rules.

Requirements to reach level 4:

  • Score 19 or better over 9 holes putting.
  • The ability to chip 3 out of 5 chip shots on the green and finish within the designated area.
  • Ability to hit 4 out of 8 Full swing shots onto the designated fairway.
  • Ability to hit 3 out of 8 wedge shots onto the green.
  • Ability to hit a ball out of the bunker.
  • Play 5 holes on the Short Course in a score of 23 or better.

Level 4

The level 4 program is where the lady Golfer will advance their games-based skills and knowledge ready for on course play.

Ladies will play:

  • Putting and chipping activities
  • Pitching Challenges
  • Bunker Play Challenges
  • Full Swing (Advanced level fundamentals)
  • Play Short Main course
  • Golf etiquette and safety on the main course
  • Golf rules.

 

 

Where to from here?

To ease the transition from beginner golfers to confident and comfortable in a Club environment, including competitions. These Pathway Memberships are only offered to those that have completed the Women’s Pathway Program.

Birdie Membership

2 months – $249

  • 9 hole Course access Monday, Tuesday, Thursday all day & Sunday after 2pm
  • Access to practice facilities & Clubhouse 7 days a week
  • Exclusive Member discounts of Cart hire, food, beverages and apparel
  • $50 House account

 

Eagle Membership

2 months – $349

  • Full Course access Monday to Friday & Sunday all day after 2pm
  • Ability to participate in Midweek Competitions
  • Affiliations to Golf Australia and official Golflink Handicap
  • Access to practice facilities & Clubhouse 7 days a week
  • Exclusive Member discounts of Cart hire, food, beverages and apparel
  • $50 House account
