Keperra’s 2023 Gents Club Champion and Junior Champion, Wes Hinton, continued his rich vain of form when travelling to Tasmania to compete in this year’s Australian Junior Championship, hosted by Tasmania Golf Club.
After shooting rounds of 69 (3 under) & 68 (4 under) for his opening 36 holes, Wes found himself atop the leader board with a 2 shot lead over his nearest rival, despite carding a 3rd round 70 (2 under). Wes found himself 3 shots adrift heading into the final round.
In the end Wes was unable to make up the deficit over the closing 18 holes, coming in a commendable 6th overall.
The Club would like to acknowledge Wes and his fantastic performance, a special mention must also go to his long term coach, Chris McCourt, and the incredible work he has done in helping Wes elevate his game to another level.
