During the winter months, the Club will be reverting it’s monthly medals to Stableford in an attempt to increase pace of play. This will commence on June 7th. As a reminder to all members, here are a few of the basic principles to improve pace of play.
- Be ready to hit – Use “ready golf” (hit when you’re ready, not necessarily in order) when it’s safe.
- Plan your shot during others’ turns – Club selection, yardage, and wind analysis should be done beforehand – even more so while on the greens.
- Keep up with the group ahead – Not just stay ahead of the group behind.
- Place your bag or cart smartly – Near where you’ll exit the green.
- Mark scores at the next tee – Not on the green.
- Limit ball searches – 3 minutes max under the Rules.
Encourage awareness in your group – Be courteous.
