Over the past few years we have experienced many new and unexpected developments that through necessity have changed some of the ways we now undertake things at KCGC.
Looking back firstly we had an extreme dry spell in 2019 then we were hit with two years of COVID and the very wet conditions we experienced during 2020/2021.
This was topped off with the devastating flood and continued rain deluge going into the winter months and extremely low overnight temperatures going well into the spring season of 2022 which certainly delayed the recovery process for the golf course despite the concerted efforts by all.
We are now experiencing some excellent playing conditions which is due to well planned maintenance programs set out by our course superintendent allowing the team to take advantage of the weather conditions to implement the necessary programs to see the course improvements that are evident.
Also as you would be aware from previous communications more money has been injected into these programs which highlight the fact that with additional support better playing conditions can be achieved.
This brings me to the essence and objective of this communication that all Members are expected to be responsible for a Code of Conduct and treatment of staff that should apply at all times notwithstanding any issues that any member may have with any matter.
If a member does have any issues they wish to raise, there is a due process and a way this should be undertaken by raising with a Board member or Staff in the proper manner.
Everyone associated with our Club is expected to comply with acceptable standards of behaviour which are outlined in our policy, which is to treat each other and staff with respect.
Any aggressive behaviour or continual abusive language is not and won’t be tolerated at KCGC in general and especially not to staff.
It goes without saying that our Green Staff, Golf Shop Staff and Club House Staff are there to do their jobs and wherever possible improve your experience of playing golf at Keperra Country Golf Club.
Kind regards,
Rodney Rhodes
