After enduring several floods, a cyclone, multiple delays and restarts — and a lengthy rebuild overall — the Club is proud to officially open the 7th & 8th hole to the Membership tomorrow.
Today, the occasion was marked with a special celebratory opening. Club Captain Greg Marshall was joined by Club Member and two-time PGA TOUR winner John Senden, who hit a ceremonial shot into the greens. Earlier in the day, the Greens team completed the final preparations before cutting the very first hole on the newly finished surfaces.
The Club sincerely thanks its Membership for their ongoing support and patience throughout this significant project. We also gratefully acknowledge the funding assistance provided by the Gambling Community Benefit Fund and the Queensland Government’s Community Recreational Assets Recovery and Resilience Program, whose support has been instrumental in bringing this project to completion.
