FAQ
-How long does it take to approve my application for membership?
The Club Board meets once towards the end of the month. All those Members who have completed an application form and submitted it to the Club will be notified of the outcome immediately following the Board meeting in readiness to commence their membership at the start of the following month.
-Can I pay my joining/nomination fee and subscription fees in instalments?
In the first year of Membership, the Club requires payment of pro rata fees upfront. In the second year, the Club encourages Members seeking to pay in instalments to contact it’s external service provider (Pay As You Golf – click here for more information). Please note this service is only available for existing members renewing their membership.
-Why is the club charging a joining/nomination fee?
The club charges a joining fee to ensure new members fairly contribute to the facilities and assets built by previous members. It supports long-term investment, strengthens financial sustainability, and protects the value of membership. While the Club has historically maintained a fee structure of this nature, it was not applied for an extended period in recent times. With changing market conditions and an evolved pricing philosophy, reintroducing this structure aligns with long-standing practice and safeguards the Club for current and future members.
-What is a handicap and how do I obtain one?
A Handicap is the average score over par each time you play a competition game of golf. Handicaps are used for each competition game and allow players of all abilities to compete on an equal basis. Men’s handicap ranges from 0 – 36 and ladies from 0 – 45. Player’s handicaps are adjusted following each competition game based on their score.
-I am currently a member at another club and intend to join Keperra, what happens to my handicap?
Upon completing your application form for Membership, we require your previous Golflink number so as to transfer it to Keperra Country Golf Club.
-I have previously been a member at another club, what happens to my handicap?
Once your application has been approved, the Golf Shop Staff will be notified and will transfer your existing Handicap and associated history across to your newly generated Keperra Golflink Number.
-What is Golflink/Golf Connect?
Golflink/Connect is a national internet database managed and affiliated with Golf Australia (National Governing Body for Golf Clubs and Members). Golflink/Connect adjusts each person’s handicap after each competition game. Members are allocated a 10 digit personalised number, this number is used to log onto the Golflink/Connect website and view competition rounds and adjusted handicap. Click here for more information.
