Unfortunately, the Qld Govt is yet to issue its formal Public Health Directive on mandatory vaccination. Still, it is known that effective 17th December, there will be implications for both vaccinated & non-vaccinated members & guests. Once the directive is issued, the club will detail its revised operating procedures.
At a minimum, it is expected that accessing the clubhouse will require members & guests to show proof of vaccination. The primary way this will be done will be through the current Check-In Queensland App (CIQ App).
To assist this task, Vaccinated Members are encouraged to update their (CIQ App) in advance of the 17th December to denote their double vaccination status. The following information explains the process:
- Members & Guests will need to ‘link’ their Federal Government COVID-19 Digital Certificate with the CIQ App.
- In order to do this, you will need access to their Medicare Online Account (through MyGov) or the Medicare Express Plus App on a mobile device.
- The ‘linking’ of the Federal Government COVID-19 Digital Certificate with the CIQ App is relatively straightforward. The process starts either through the CIQ App, the Medicare Online Account (through MyGov), or the Medicare Express Plus App.
- Without access to the Medicare Online Account (through MyGov), or the Medicare Express Plus App, patrons will not be able to access and link their Federal Government COVID-19 Digital Certificate with the CIQ App.
- Once an individual ‘links’ their Federal Government COVID-19 Digital Certificate with the CIQ App, they will notice a new green ‘tick’ next to their name on the ‘home screen’ of the CIQ App. When they ‘check-in’ to the club, their name will be highlighted green on the ‘check-in screen’.
- If a patron wants to ‘check-in’ other patrons using their app, they may do this, and those other patron’s names will also be highlighted green if their vaccination status has been updated on the CIQ App.

This information is imperative for members & guests to understand, as, without a MyGov account, they will be unable to link their Federal Government COVID-19 Digital Certificate with the CIQ App.
