Opening of Holes 7 & 8

We are excited to share that Holes 7 and 8 will reopen for play from Saturday, 14 February.
This marks an important milestone, and we sincerely thank members for their patience and understanding while the Club undertook these necessary works.
The Club also wishes to acknowledge the Queensland Government for its financial support, which has been instrumental in assisting with the major repair works on Hole 8.
Green renovations were completed on Monday, Tuesday Wednesday 2–4 February, in preparation for the cooler months ahead. We are very pleased with the condition of the surfaces and expect the greens to be in prime condition for both the Club Championships and the Keperra Bowl in March.
Additional turf has been laid across a large section of Hole 7, and further remediation works will be undertaken on:
- the temporary greens on Holes 7 and 5, and
- the temporary tee on Hole 5.
Thank you again for your continued support as we work to deliver the best possible playing conditions for all members.

No Show

The Club wishes to remind all members of their responsibility to remove their names from booking sheets if they are unable to attend, prior to the day of play where possible.
A situation occurred on Saturday 31 January where a full group was scheduled to play in the afternoon field. All players had held confirmed bookings for eight days and had received the usual booking reminders. However, three of the four players did not attend and did not contact the Golf Shop to advise they would not be playing.
By the time staff became aware of the three no-shows, the fourth player had already checked in, paid their competition fee, and made their way to the first tee. Due to the heavily booked field, the Golf Shop was unable to place this member into another group within a reasonable timeframe and ultimately (and disappointingly), through no fault of their own, were unable to play.
The Club wishes to be very clear: if you are unable to attend a confirmed booking, you must remove your name from the timesheet as soon as practicable. If this is to occur on the day of play, you are required to contact the Golf Shop directly on 3355 7744 (1).
As a reminder, members can review and manage their bookings at any time (prior to the day of play) via the Member Portal / “My information & Account” Tab / “My Bookings”.
Please be assured the Club’s motives around this topic are solely around Member best interests.

Womens Corner

I would like to introduce myself as Keperra Ladies President for 2026. I have been a member of KCGC for about 20 years and have been a past Ladies Vice Captain and Captain.
I am passionate about Ladies golf in terms of increasing the number of lady members and encouraging new members to play in the daily competitions that are on offer. We have had approximately 40 new ladies join the club within the last year, and I’m hoping that we will grow our midweek and weekend numbers for competition play this year.
2026 has thankfully started with great weather compared to last year.
Our Opening Day on Tuesday 27th January saw 67 players embracing an Olympics theme playing a 9 holes 4BBB Stableford. The winners were Kate Outridge and Sandra Backstrom with 27 points from Lesleigh Reed and Therese Campbell on 26 points. The effort that was put towards the outfits was sensational and yes there was a ‘team Raygun’!
Saturday 31st January was our first Monthly Medal. Big congratulations to Melissa Robertson with Nett 69. She was closely followed by Helen Blanchfield and Jemma Leonard on nett 70.
Our first Honour board event will be the Captain’s 4BBB stroke on Tuesday 17th February which will be the qualifier for matchplay (For more information on the rules/format – please click here). Last year’s winners Kathy Madden and Jackie Dowling will be hoping for a repeat win so I suggest we all start practising now…or book in for a lesson with Chris, Virginia and Jake to fine tune your stroke!
Happy golfing and looking forward to the opening of holes 7 and 8 and the clubhouse.

Car Parking

We thank all members for their continued patience and understanding during the recent parking disruptions. We recognise that parking can be challenging at times and sincerely appreciate everyone’s cooperation and courtesy.
We kindly remind members to please be extra considerate when parking, ensuring your vehicle is positioned to maximise the available space for others. A little extra care goes a long way in helping fellow members find a spot.
As always, safety and wellbeing remain our top priority. Please continue to park responsibly and observe all directional signage and line markings.
We also remind members that the grassed area behind the Clubhouse is reserved exclusively for Staff and Board Members. Importantly, the previously designated Board and Staff parking bays have been returned to the general membership for use.
Thank you again for your ongoing effort and consideration.
