Keperra’s own Caitlin Vanderkruk has excelled at the recent School Sport Australia National Golf Championships which was contested in Victoria.

Caitlin finished 3rd in the gross section finishing just 2 shots off the pace, however in the nett event Caitlin was a runaway victor finishing 10 shots clear.

Congratulations Caitlin on an outstanding effort.

B & C GRADE CHAMPIONSHIPS – FINAL RESULTS

B & C GRADE CHAMPIONSHIPS – FINAL RESULTS

This years Gents B & C Grade Championships were completed over the weekend. The weather which dominated the early part of the year resulted in a reduced format for the Championships with the B & C Grade event being adjusted to 36 holes.

We did however come away with two new Champions in their respective grades with Rob Elder taking out the Gents B Grade with a narrow 1 shot victory over Rob Harvey. In the C Grade Greg Dorge was was able to hang on to his overnight lead and come away with a 3 shot victory over Colin Cavanagh.

Vale – Richard Howarth – Funeral Details

It is with much sadness that we share the passing of long-term Member Richard ‘Richie’ Howarth. The Club’s thoughts are with Richie’s family at this time, especially his wife and Club Member Lyn.

Richie joined the Club in 1983 was a proud member of the Club.  Richie will be sorely missed by his many friends here at Keperra.

A funeral will be held at the Albany Creek Crematorium at 11am, Monday 29th August, in the Lakeview Chapel.   (No flowers please. A donation to your favourite charity is preferred)

Many members would be familiar with KCGC Member Emily Mahar as she pursues her career on the Professional Golf Tour.  Emily has played in the US Open and also the Augusta National Women’s Amateur event and her future looks exceptionally bright.
