COVID 19 – Club Update

The Club has been advised that effective Friday 16^th July at 6:00 am, there will be an easing in restrictions. 

• Patrons will no longer be required to wear masks.
• Patron density will return to three (3) people per four (4) square metres.
• Patrons will no longer be required to remain seated while eating or drinking.
• The removal of hole flags will remain optional – (best practice encourages players to refrain from removing the flag).
• Preferred lie in bunkers (one (1) hand span) will continue, with no rakes.   

In all instances, when attending the Club, members must check-in via the Qld Govt. Check-In app.  The Club has been advised that adherence to this requirement will be monitored with random spot audits & inspections will be occurring.

VALE: Val Brown

It is with much sadness that the Club has learnt of the passing of long term past member Val Brown.  Val had been a member for over 62 years at Keperra.  Our thoughts are with Val’s family who have requested a private ceremony to celebrate Val’s life.

Presidents 4Ball Draw Final

The Presidents Fourball Final was played on Saturday 31/07/2021. This year saw the event reverting to its traditional 4BBB Matchplay format. Contesting this year’s final was the number 4 qualifiers of Wayne Roberts and Darren Phillips taking on Tony Duncan and Brad Gollan who qualified in 6th position.
In the end it was Wayne Roberts and Darren Phillips who would prevail. These two gentlemen certainly like getting their moneys worth with wins in the first two rounds occurring on the 19th and the final going to the 18th and a 1up victory.
Congratulations Wayne and Darren.

9th July- Course Update

The focus over the past few weeks has been general maintenance, with some tidy-up work and the continuation of the fertiliser application program to the greens.

This week we have cleared the remaining mulch from the 21^st & 23^rd holes which has been spread in various locations throughout the course.  There has been some significant clearing near the 20^th tee, which will improve the sunlight to the tee and enhance airflow to this area of the course, including the 17th green.  There has also been some clearing around the 11^th green, to improve airflow and sunlight which should increase the ability of this wet area of the course to dry.

Membership Subscriptions

Towards the latter end of the month, Members will receive their 2021/2022 annual subscriptions. 

The Board has approved a CPI increase of 1.7% for the ensuing year and it is important to note that the COVID-19 discount that was applied to renewing members last year has been removed.

A reminder will be sent a fortnight before the end of August, and any members un-financial as at September 1st will have their playing rights suspended until payment is made.  Members will be able to pay by credit card over the phone or at Club Administration, BPAY, cash, direct deposit or via the Member portal (My account / Subs account).
