Partnership & Sponsorship Strategy

Partnership & Sponsorship Strategy

Recently the Club completed an extensive review of its advertising and sponsorship capabilities and offerings.   As businesses look to re-activate in a post covid world, Keperra saw an opportunity to position itself as a conduit to it’s strong membership base for local small, medium and large Businesses.  The Club worked with an external specialist in evaluating it’s potential exposure points both within the Club and on the Course, as well as identify categories of local businesses that ideally would be a great fit for Keperra to partner with.

Since late 2020, Management has been working to produce a Sponsorship Invitation which highlights the potency the Club holds within the North Brisbane area, the ability to target different demographics and deliver on a prospective partners commercial, brand and community engagement objectives.

The pitch Management is taking to market highlights the extensive work the Club does in the community, its reach and impact but also provides a snapshot of the demographics of the clubs membership, an element that often can become lost when we as members become focused on saving par.  Keperra Country Golf Club is a community based Club promoting an active and healthy lifestyle with friends, we support and contribute significantly to Charities in the local area, have strong governance, clear strategic direction and connect with many people from all over whilst facilitating over 90,000 rounds per year.

The Club will be featuring in the local Hills and Everton Echo in the coming week promoting this new opportunity to external businesses.  Before this is released, the Club is welcoming any members looking to take advantage of the limited opportunities and enter into a Partnership (or explore what’s on offer) at the ‘ground floor’.

We are seeking a total of 20 Partners/Sponsors at differing levels.  Three (3) sponsors have already been secured and soon to be announced with the Club in discussions with several others.

For any member looking for more information on this exciting new initiative and to view the Partnership invitation, please contact Club Membership, Partnership and Hospitality Manager Michael Dash via marketing@keperragolf.com.au to organise a site tour and detailed discussion.

14th May Course Update

14th May Course Update

With some 40mm of rain falling on Wednesday the presentation of the Course for weekend play has been disrupted.  While we have been able to mow fairways some areas of the rough have been too wet and will remain unmown over the weekend.  To assist players, lift-clean-and-place will form part of the local rules.  While efforts were made to prepare the bunkers, it has been decided that all bunkers will be optional GUR.

The irrigation works on the 22nd hole was again interrupted, with the necessary machinery unable to work in the wet and damp conditions.  These delays are frustrating to all, and new dates are being arranged with the contractor.

Next week will start with all 27 greens receiving a light dusting over Monday and Tuesday.   On Tuesday afternoon the Queensland Government will be conducting some aerial Fire Ant mitigation over the course. We are assured that this, non-optional, treatment poses no harm to humans, flora, fauna, and the course as a whole.  Members please be advised that there will be a low flying helicopter over the course on Tuesday afternoon, weather permitting.

7th May Course Update

7th May Course Update

This week has been another 4-day working week, also impacted by some significant rainfall on Wednesday.   For the remainder of the week the team focused on general course maintenance with preventative spraying also undertaken.  While several bunkers will be staked for the weekend, the course is fully mown and ready for play.  Encouragingly, the first mow of greens on holes 1-18 was completed following the oversow, this will see an improved putting experience for all members.  The greens on holes 19-27 will remain unmown to ensure the germination of the Poa Trivialis is established prior to the first mow.  Holes 19-27 were oversown a few days after holes 1-18 and have shown their first stages of initial Poa growth, it is anticipated that growth will continue over the weekend and will be mown early next week.

The oversow coupled with the recent rainfall will increase the likelihood of the emergence of pitch marks on the putting surface.  It would be appreciated if you could repair your pitch marks, and possibly one or two more if you get a chance.

Good Golfing.
