Gents Pennant Results

Round 2 – KCGC win 14.5-6.5 vs PGC

The first home match of the season saw Pacific Golf Club taking on Keperra and after a first round loss to Redcliffe, they were up for the fight. However the home team would prevail 14.5 – 6.5 with solid wins from the Opens, Masters and Juniors.

Round 1 – KCGC win 11-10 vs BGC

The Keperra Country Golf Club’s Gents Pennant side start the season strongly with a narrow win away against the Brisbane Golf Club, 11-10.  The juniors halved their matches finishing 2.5 – 2.5 highlighted by a fantastic comeback from John Yoon, who managed to turnaround a 4 hole deficit with 6 holes to go, to finish all square. The Masters performed well winning 4-1 against a solid Brisbane side.  The Open competition was certainly worth watching as supporters will attest with some tight matches up the top, none more so than Jordan Rooke who finished his match birdie, birdie to win 1up.

Next week’s match sees Keperra playing host to Pacific Golf Club, the first matches will be teeing off from 7am, so if you would like to come out and see some high-quality golf and support the team we would love to see you.
