At the Annual General Meeting (25 November 2020), the Board announced that the Maintenance/Greenkeepers shed had been approved for replacement in 2021. For many years, the existing shed has served the Club well, although in recent times ensuring its regulatory compliance has proven challenging. The shed is a once in a generation asset replacement project that will create an efficient & modern maintenance facility which will significantly enhance the long-term capabilities of the Club.
The escalation of the maintenance shed replacement project would not have been possible without the support of a generous club benefactor.
An extensive consultation & design phase has been completed, and a building contract will soon be finalized with construction commencing late March. It is envisaged that the construction period will be 20-24 weeks.
The existing shed will be demolished and the new building constructed on the same site. The task will also include landscaping the surrounds, including the high traffic areas between the 27th green and the clubhouse.
A temporary maintenance compound will be created throughout the construction phase at the rear of the clubhouse; this will require approximately 20 car parks to be temporarily reclaimed plus the adjacent “grassed area”. In coming days, several shipping containers will be delivered to the compound site to store maintenance equipment.
Although every effort is being made to minimise inconvenience, it is inherent with this scale project, so we ask for your patience. This is an exciting undertaking, and regular updates will be provided as the project progresses.

We can confirm that the Greater Brisbane lockdown will conclude at 6:00 pm this evening (11th January 2021). This positive news ensures the club will reopen as planned tomorrow morning.
Although the lockdown rules will ease, new restrictions have been introduced that will impact the club and its members and guests. These restrictions are effective immediately and will remain in effect until Friday 22 January 2021.
* Members & guests must carry a mask at all times and in situations whereby 1.5m social distancing can not be achieved they should be worn.
* Members & guests will not be required to wear a mask whilst playing golf.
* Members & guests can approach the bar to order food and beverage but must remain seated whilst eating & drinking.
* Social gathering restrictions have again reverted to one person per four square metres. This will cause current room limits to be halved.
* Clubhouse hospitality (face to face) staff will be required to wear a mask at all times.
Members are reminded that many of the concessions regarding the wearing of masks in the club & on course are a consequence of the contact tracing processes that form part of the club’s current COVID Safe Plan. To ensure this remains unchanged, It is imperative that when visiting the club your name is on a play booking sheet or immediately on arrival you record your attendance via the QR code registration process. Those without a smartphone can seek assistance from a member of staff.
We look forward to welcoming members back at the club tomorrow & the continued observance of the COVID safe guidelines.
