KCGC & Special Olympics

KCGC & Special Olympics

Some members may not be aware, however the Club has had a working relationship with Special Olympics Queensland for a number of years now.  The Club recently hosted it’s 2020 Golf Tournament which was well supported and a great success for both Organisations.  Keperra is proud to be affiliated with the Special Olympics as it’s QLD Golf Course of choice.  Some great photos captured on the day including Keperra’s own Jarrod Mann who mentors KCGC Member Dylan Price (on Jarrod’s right in the below photo) a Special Olympics Champion.  Well done to all who participated and were involved in the day.

“On behalf of Special Olympics Queensland Golf, please convey to your committee, members and staff our sincere appreciation for hosting the Special Olympics Brisbane club 2020 golf tournament. It is very much valued the generosity, friendliness and inclusiveness that Keperra Golf offers to our athletes.

This year’s tournament turned out to be a wonderful success, we had 29 players of varying degrees of ability all supported by volunteers and families. This was our first competition since Covid, and our athletes were itching for competition out on the golf course.

Thank you once again for the club’s hospitality and generosity, and we look forward to returning to Keperra Golf Club soon.”

MiScore Update

MiScore Update

Despite the intended roll over date for MiScore’s update being November 2nd, it appears these changes have been rolled out in stages over the last few days.  The Club believes most phones with the app are now ready for the update and as such, has isolated the following actions which members are encouraged to complete prior to their next competition round to avoid any inconvenience.  If your phone does not prompt you to create a profile, please continue to use the app as normal.

1-      Open MiScore App

2-      Press ‘Create Profile’ button

3-      Complete details using an email you have access to, along with password

4-      Check the email you’ve entered to verify (check Junk folder)

5-      Click ‘Verify account’

6-      Use MiScore as normal

Members wishing to use the app at other Clubs, will be prompted for a 2 week trial when choosing the Club they are playing.  Please note this is a paid service beyond the 2 week trial.
