Members are reminded that the traditional exhibition public holiday this year has been shifted from the Wednesday to Friday (14th). The Club will be running a Wednesday Competition and Friday social golf as per regular weekly scheduling.

On Thursday August 20th, Keperra will be hosting equipment manufacturer Ping Golf from 9.30am – 12.30pm. Ping will have all of their current hardware options available, so if you think this is something you would like to try, the timesheet is now open to reservations in the Members Booking Area.

A series of upgrades have recently been undertaken by the Club specifically to the rear of the Clubhouse. The back landing was given a facelift last month, as well as some additional branding for the Club. At the time of writing this Snapshot, the final touches of the rear compound, including the staff access point and waste area were being enclosed to provide a consistent appearance.

Members will notice that there are a number of different avenues for registering their attendance whilst at the Club, the easiest of which is the QR Scan code located in the Club Bar. It is vital that all members and guests entering the bar register via either the physical paper version or the QR Scan option. For assistance using the QR Scan code, please see administration staff.

Mindful of the recent events that have transpired in Brisbane over the last 48 hours, it was considered timely to remind members of the importance of adhering to the current rules and regulations relating to COVID-19. First and foremost, Members should be commended on the manner in which they have conducted themselves over the last few months. However, the importance of remaining diligent has again been highlighted.
The Club would ask that Members ensure they are practising social distancing, washing their hands thoroughly and regularly, sanitising their hands frequently, using Non-Cash payments as often as possible and above all if you feel unwell, stay at home. The registries located in the Club Bar must be completed in full – this includes date, name, email, mobile and time in/out. Alternatively, members can use the QSCAN option on their smartphone – for assistance with this method, please see the staff.
Communication from Clubs Queensland (Club Industry Body) overnight noted changes to the Queensland CLUB COVID – SAFE PLAN. The main changes include, patrons MUST take a seat when drinking and eating in the Club bar; ensure patrons do not move around the venue unnecessarily and that patrons from different groups do not mingle. It also included that should any member have travelled to what is considered a ‘COVID hot spot’ they do not attend the venue – click here to view list of ‘COVID Hot Spots’. It also stressed the importance of continuing the below practices:
While the Club has put in place the necessary changes as directed by the Queensland Government to both its Golfing and Hospitality Operations, it is ultimately the Members who will determine whether we as a Club are compliant (and do not get fined). As previously mentioned, the Club is thankful for the adopted behaviour by members thus far and encourages them to continue in this manner.
