Course News

Course News

Work has now commenced ahead of schedule on the 7th and 8th greens. Please note that this is a separate project from the retaining wall works. The 8th hole remains out of play, while the 7th hole has been shortened, with a temporary green now in use.

This project involves the complete demolition and reconstruction of both greens, starting from the sub-base and including the relocation of irrigation mainlines. These are the initial stages of a comprehensive redevelopment. Members playing the Old or West Course over the weekend will notice that the sub-base has already been shaped on the 8th hole. Drainage installation is scheduled for next week.

The Course and Maintenance team has now transitioned to the winter program, which includes garden upkeep, tree maintenance, and bunker improvements.

We hope that the recent rainfall was the last for the foreseeable future. Although the course is gradually drying out, growth has started to slow, and certain areas will require careful management. While it won’t be possible to repair all areas immediately, key priorities have been identified and will be addressed accordingly.

Clubhouse Re-Development – Parking Update

Clubhouse Re-Development – Parking Update

As part of the exciting clubhouse refurbishment, approximately 30 car parks have been temporarily lost due to the establishment of a contractor work zone.

To help offset this impact:

  • The previously allocated staff parking bays have been returned to general member use.
  • Staff and Board members will now park in the grassed area behind the clubhouse, including on Saturdays, to help free up additional spaces for members.

We encourage members to consider carpooling or using alternative transport where possible to help ease pressure on parking during this period. Your cooperation and understanding are greatly appreciated.

Please note that a disability parking space has also been impacted. A new location is currently being finalised, and once confirmed, further information will be shared.

Thank you for your support as we deliver these exciting improvements to your Club.

Winter Monthly Medals – Stableford

Winter Monthly Medals – Stableford

During the winter months, the Club will be reverting it’s monthly medals to Stableford in an attempt to increase pace of play.  This will commence on June 7th.  As a reminder to all members, here are a few of the basic principles to improve pace of play.

  • Be ready to hit – Use “ready golf” (hit when you’re ready, not necessarily in order) when it’s safe.
  • Plan your shot during others’ turns – Club selection, yardage, and wind analysis should be done beforehand – even more so while on the greens.
  • Keep up with the group ahead – Not just stay ahead of the group behind.
  • Place your bag or cart smartly – Near where you’ll exit the green.
  • Mark scores at the next tee – Not on the green.
  • Limit ball searches – 3 minutes max under the Rules.

Encourage awareness in your group – Be courteous.
