Ladies Corner
March has been a tough month for golfers with the consistent rain we have been getting. The Ladies Club Championships have been completed with Julie Lakotij being the winner with an outstanding performance of leading each round by at least four strokes. Jemma Leonard was the runner up with Julie also taking out Nett winner. Our junior champion was Cassandre Geens who came in fourth.
The winners for the 2024 Ladies Captain 4BBB Stroke Matchplay were Ruth Turnbull and Zena Bell with a 3 & 1 victory over Anne-Maree James and Lyn Howarth.
Our fun day in honour of being St Patrick’s Day was an Irish 4BBB Stableford event plus a green ball. The winners were June Cunningham, Jeanette Collins, Sue Collins and Jill Garvey.
March Monthly medal winners were A Grade – June Cunningham, B Grade – Zena Bell and C Grade – Ruth Turnbull.
Unfortunately, we have had to postpone our Open Day scheduled for March 26th due to predicted inclement weather. The event will now be held on April 23rd.

Course News
The ‘grow in’ stage of the Turf on the RHS approach to the 9th green has proved incredibly successful and the Club is sure those that have played the hole would agree. It is anticipated that the area will be put back in play shortly.
Irrigation works on the 24th are still progressing, but have been interrupted by the poor weather over Easter. Turf is scheduled to be laid shortly.
With the soft conditions, albeit while not an ‘all year’ expectation, the filling of divots and repairing of pitch marks is especially beneficial in the current, cooler weather conditions.
Members will have noticed the entrances to the Practice fairway / Short Game Area have recently been upgraded – pictures of these upgrades are below.
