8th Hole – Images of Green Replacement

Please see attached images of the proposed green replacement.

One of the most significant design changes for this hole will be the removal of the Bunker. It’s been established over several years that the bunker has contributed to the damage of the putting surface.  The soon to be replaced retain wall on the left side of the hole and the new green will deliver resilience but flooding will continue to be a risk in this part of the course.

The Department of Tourism & Sport have confirmed the appointment of the construction contractor and have advised that works will soon commence.  They have also informed the club that the funding for the project has increased as final quotes exceeded the initial budget.  Under the Deed of Agreement these costs are not responsibly of the Club.

Although this has been a long and challenging process , the project costs will likely exceed $500k which has been fully funded via Qld Government support.

2024 US MASTERS & COMPOSITE COURSE 15/4

The Club will be holding its annual Composite Course Challenge to coincide with the final round of the 2024 US Masters live from Augusta National.  The final round will be played at its traditional time which will conclude around 9:30am.  The final round will be on the big screen in the Function Room from 6:30am, with a hot breakfast served before a shotgun start in motorised carts on the Club’s Composite Course (18 of the Course’s most challenging holes).

Lunch will await the players on their return from the course and as always, the KCGC tweed jacket will be up for grabs for the player with the most Stableford points.  The Club will again be taking pre-orders for drinks and have them ready for all players as they leave the Clubhouse.  Those looking to pre-order drinks should email admin@keperragolf.com.au with their selections.

Please find below a link to important information relating to the 2024 Ladies & Gents Club Championships. Although the format is similar to previous years, there are some notable changes, with the draw being created on a seeded basis and bookings requiring pre-payment.

Upcoming Saturday Competition Timesheet Releases

During the Club Championship period the Saturday time sheets will be released on Mondays @ 3pm, on the following dates.

• Monday 26^th February
• Monday 4^th March
• Monday 11^th March
• Monday 18^th March

This will allow the necessary changes to be made if the Championship is interrupted by bad weather. There is an opportunity to register for the Championship up until 6pm on Sunday 25^th February.
