Course Update

Course Update

Following yesterday’s inspection, the Course will remain closed on Friday until 2:30pm, when it will be open for members and their guests only.  The practice facilities will open at 9:30am.  An online booking sheet is now available on the club website .  As such, can I please stress the importance of confirming a booking before ‘showing up’ to avoid disappointment.

Unfortunately, the Bridge on the 11th hole has been damaged, and remedial works are planned for Friday morning.  As such, 18 of the 27 holes will be in play tomorrow.   Longer-term repairs will need to be undertaken in the coming weeks.  Thankfully, the main irrigation line on the same bridge was unaffected.

The remainder of the course, except for select holes (1/4/7/8/14/16/18/19), has held up quite well, all things considered.  These holes bore the grunt of the flooding, and as such, the Course and Maintenance team have been sweeping up debris by hand to assist in the drying of these areas & enabling mowing.  Unfortunately, there has been some small ‘gauging’ to the front (thankfully) of the 8th green, which will be filled accordingly.

A communication regarding Saturday’s (and likely Sunday’s) Competition/ non-competition golf and the associated playing conditions, local rules, cart operation and private cart operation will also placed on the Member Home page and emailed to all members.

The green renovations, which commenced on Monday, have been completed as planned, which has been an extraordinary feat, mindful of the added workload created this week. On behalf of the Club, I’d like to thank Course Superintendent Keith, Assistant Tim and the maintenance team for their hard work and commitment to getting the course back in play.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the Club on Friday.

Kind regards,

Rod Rhodes

Club President

Club Closed – Saturday

Club Closed – Saturday

Unfortunately the Course received 80mm as at 5am this morning, however this has since grown to over 120mm at the time of publishing this Member post.  Fairways 1/10/18/19 have again been flooded (image below).  The challenge we face at the moment is that the course is unable to be accessed in order to complete an course assessment.

The Club (inclusive of Course, Practice Facilities and Club Bar) has made a decision to close for the weekend (17 & 18).

Members are reminded to always go by the information published by the Club on the website and member portal for the most up to date Course Conditions.

Member Insurance – House Account Credit

Member Insurance – House Account Credit

As communicated in December, the clubs’ insurers have removed the provision of personal accident and property cover provided under their member suite policy (refer below). Subscriptions for most categories include a provision for insurance.  With removal of the cover, an unused amount of $40.88 has been calculated, which will be directed back to members via a credit to House Accounts.  Please note non-playing and junior categories are excluded due to the fee calculation method of these categories.

Members are again reminded to review their personal insurance needs mindful of these changes.
