Course News

The course and maintenance team have been busy preparing the course for the upcoming Club Championships and Keperra Bowl.
A few smaller projects have been completed including laying turf on the left-hand side of the 7th fairway and fairway bunker, along with the recently used 5B temporary Tee block. This area will remain compulsory GUR until the suitable grow-in process has been completed. Both 7 and 5A temporary greens have been left to grow out back to fairway height and this process has now been completed and are to be considered in play. We simply ask Members treat them as normal and repair their divots.
For all those Members participating in the Club Championships, we hope you enjoy what the course has to offer and wish you all the best of luck.

Women’s Golf Update

Our first Women’s Honour Board event for the year, the Captain’s 4BBB Stroke (17 February), saw Donna Dodson and Mandy Stephens claim victory with an outstanding 60 nett. Runners-up were Ann-Maree Ree and Karen Cannon with 61 nett — fabulous scoring by all.
On Tuesday March 3rd, the semi finals of the Women’s Captain 4BBB Matchplay were contested, with Chrissy Booth & Michelle Casey going down to Susan Mortimer & Kim Williams (3&2). In the other Match Sue Truckey & Jackie Arnott were defeated by Carrie Barham & Rhonda Salmond (on the 20th Hole). Good luck to both pairs in next week’s final.
The Women’s Club Championships commence on Saturday 7 March. Wishing all competitors the very best.
Our first Open Day for 2026 will be held on Tuesday 17 March. With over 70 entries already received, it promises to be a fantastic day. The format is a 4-person Ambrose with a twist, plus great prizes on offer. Thank you to Whitehead & Crump of Harcourts Solutions for their valued sponsorship of our event.
Congratulations also to our Junior Girls Pennants Team, who secured 4 points at Pacific on 15 February. The next round is on March 8th— good luck and enjoy the experience.

CALL FOR OLD GOLF BALLS

With the Club’s Junior Program continuing to prosper, supplies of golf balls are beginning to run low. Members who have any used golf balls they no longer require are encouraged to consider donating them to the Club to help support the ongoing development of junior golfers. Any and all contributions are greatly appreciated and may be dropped to the Golf Shop at any time.

RETURNING SAND BUCKETS

Members are kindly reminded to return their sand buckets to the designated holders following their round. Recently, a number of sand buckets have been found in the car park, where they have unfortunately been damaged by vehicles. Your assistance in returning them to the designated areas is greatly appreciated and helps us maintain the course facilities for everyone’s benefit and avoid an unnecessary added cost to the Club.
