Lindsay & Gordon Win at QLD Seniors event
Congratulations to Lindsay Brown and Gordon Buck who recently competed at the QLD Senior Amateur event at Harvey Bay Golf Club. Gordon claimed Nett Champion in the 65-69 age bracket while Lindsay Brown won the 70+ year old Gross. Congratulations gents.

Jordan wins PGA Associate Event
Congratulations to Club Trainee Jordan Rooke for winning the 2023 QLD PGA Associate Foursomes Championships held at Kooralbyn Golf Club yesterday. Jordan won the event after teaming up with Indooroopilly GC fellow trainee Dylan Knox. Well done Jordan.

Ladies Corner – July
The July Monthly Medal winners were; weekend – Cathy Xu, and midweek ladies A grade – Julie Watson, B grade – Jackie Dowling and C grade – Lyn Howarth.
Christmas in July took off to a wet start but turned out to be a beautiful day. Just Better Care Brisbane North sponsored the day and provided lovely hampers for the winners; Michelle Casey, Ally Maguire, Jackie Dowling and Kathy Madden. Best dressed went to; Gillian Haussmann, Bronwyn Gilder, Karen Pisarek and Karen Cannon. Everybody thoroughly enjoyed the Christmas lunch.
On July 21st, the Club held a competition to coincide with the British Open. The course was changed to make 18 par three’s with a shot gun start and a fabulous meal afterwards. Gayle Duncan won the Ladies comp with 40 points and also managed a nearest to the pin.
I can highly recommend everyone putting this on their calendar for next year, it was so much fun. Sounds easy, but you had to be very strategic with your shots.
Our next event is the Open Day and Charity event end of August.
