Captain’s Update
As we head into the final weekend of the Gent’s Club Championships, we have already seen some fantastic golf in all grades. My best wishes to all participants playing this weekend and I’m sure we will again see some worthy Champions come Sunday. I would also like to take this opportunity to thank Club Championships Sponsor Jeffrey McConaghy from Jeffrey McConaghy Jewellers who has again designed the Championship rings that both our Gents and Women’s winner will receive.
A review of Competition prize values has recently been undertaken with the most significant change being the long standing $4.50 run down value being increased to $5. In some instances Competitions will now see a third place being awarded.
There has also been a review of the Saturday booking release process with the change primarily relating to the ladies block times that form part of this sheet. Moving forward, these block times will be released at 10am and close at 2pm. Any unused tee times will then become available as part of the ‘normal’ sheet release at 4pm. This should remove some of the frustration and access challenges to the block that exist under the current timesheet release process. Further information can viewed by clicking here.
