Congratulations to our own Wesley Hinton and Caitlin Vanderkruk who won their respective events in the Golf Australia’s Qld Foursomes Championship over the weekend at Wynnum Golf Club.
Caitlin partnered Lizzy Harmin to shoot 151 and hold off 2nd place by 1 shot. Fellow KCGC Junior Mikayla Dyal came in 3rd position shooting 155. Wesley successful defended his title alongside 2022 partner Alfie Ward shooting 135 and also holding off 2nd place by a shot.
Congratulations to Wes and Caitlin and well done to all KCGC juniors that participated.

The 2023 Ladies Club Championship will be played over 54-holes, on 3 consecutive Saturdays, starting Saturday 22nd April. Further championship information is available by clicking here

Another hot and humid day greeted the players for the final round of the 2023 KCGC Gents Club Championships.
In C Grade Junior Member Jackson Grady took a commanding lead into the round 4 and after all was said and done, was able to further extend his lead and in the end the result was a 20 shot victory.
B Grade would be much closer with only a handful of shots separating the leading contenders, in the end it was Ci Gee who would go onto win by the narrowest of margins, with a 1 shot victory over Adam Dent.
The battle for this years Club Championship would go down to the very last hole with Jack Jones overcoming a 3 shot deficit and drawing level with overnight leader Wes Hinton. The final hole saw an errant tee shot from Jack, who had played flawless golf up until that point, being 4 under for the day. In the end it was Wes who would hold his nerve hitting a fine approach shot to 15 feet, when Jack couldn’t make his par victory belonged to Wes.
